Hello and happy Saturday,

It has taken several months of work behind the scenes but The Seeker is coming back. We will be relaunching on Saturday July 8 under our new editor Shaun Lowthorpe - and we're looking for writers (and yes we do pay).

About Shaun

Shaun has been a journalist for 20 years, including as a political correspondent and the business editor of the EDP. He currently lectures in journalism at the UEA and teaches business management at City College Norwich. He lives in Hellesdon with his wife Emily and has two children, Nyle and Josephine. In his free time he coaches the Hellesdon Lions U10s football team.

What's changing?

The Seeker is also about to get twice as good, with a second edition coming out every Wednesday morning, as well as the Saturday edition. We're able to do this thanks to funding from Innovate UK's Create Growth Fund. The Saturday edition will continue with an in-depth read about an issue impacting the city. The Wednesday edition will have lots of short, sharp stories containing all you need to know about that week in Norwich.

Write for us

With that in mind we're looking for freelance writers to pitch stories and for commissions. The Seeker will continue its focus on the environment, health and housing, as well as expanding into local power and politics, so we're particularly interested in hearing from people who'd like to write about those topics in the city. We pay up to Β£200 per article. We're interested in hearing from lots of different voices so whether you're just starting out, or if you remember the days of the fax machine, we'd love to hear from you.

If you'd like to be added to our list of freelance contributors, or have any questions, please email Shaun (editor@thenorwichseeker.co.uk). Please include three previous published articles and your idea(s) for stories.

Thank you!
